Who run the beach? Girls!
“Wow! What an amazing trip it was last year with the Surfgirls at the Ilyana Surfhouse. Together with Ruth and Lisanne of Surfgirls, we will again go on a surf trip to make memories and share the stoke with other surfgirls.
Want to read more reviews? In this blog Lisanne told everything about this year's trip, it is in Dutch tho!
The Surfgirls’ Surf trip to Morocco is all about sharing the stoke with other surfing women and exploring the beauty of Rabat. Moroccan local, Ilyass, and Surfgirl Nina will guide you to improve your surfing skills and gain confidence in (perhaps scary) waves, regardless of your level of surfing.”
Surf, yoga, skate & explore
Together with Surfgirls, we have created a beautiful program where we surf for five days and participate in other activities such as Yoga and a Moroccan cooking class. The surfing lessons will be provided for everyone’s level of surfing. If you want, we can surf two sessions a day. The first session is an active lesson, and the second session will be guided from the beach. If you want to explore the old town of Rabat, or perhaps you choose to have the afternoon off in the sun, that’s all good! You can do as much or as little as you want—it’s a holiday!
Food & Stay
The entire accommodation will be exclusively for the Surfgirls in these two weeks. There is a shared in- and outside area to chill and relax after surfing. Most rooms are shared and have bunkbeds. Do you want to reserve a room for yourself or shared with one friend? This is possible! The extra costs for a one-person private room are €75,- euro. If you reserve a two-person private room the extra costs are €125 euro. There is limited space for the private rooms, so be quick! All facilities are shared.
Breakfast and dinners will be served on the rooftop.

Can I come alone?
Yes, our trips and events are very suitable to join alone. You'll find likeminded surfgirls who share the love for the ocean. We've experienced that everyone at our events is very openminded and welcoming, exactly what we hope to share with our community.
What's the average age?
First of all: it doesn't matter, but we very much understand your question. We've seen an average of age between 30 and 40 at our trips, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't come if you're outside of this age-range. We have seen girls of 17 and women of over 60 fitting into the group just as well as anyone else so no need to worry!
Can I bring my board?
Yes, you can! And we also advise you to do so. If you want to make progression, you'll be learning so much more on your own board. There is an option to rent at Ilyana for those who can't bring their boards. We have a collaboration with Boardbagger where you can rent a boardbag if you don't have one. You get 10% discount with the code SurfgirlsxBoardbagger2023.
I'm not Dutch, will I fit in the group?
Yep! While the main visitor of our trips will be Dutch, everyone is so welcoming so if you're not Dutch-speaking you can join very much as well too.
Can I come earlier, leave later, stay 2 weeks?
For the harmony in the group we want to ask you to stay for one or two full weeks. We've experienced it's a little disturbing for the "group harmony" if there's people coming and leaving during the week. But if you join the first week: of course you can come earlier if it fits with Ilyana. And for the second week: of course you can stay longer! And if you want to stay two whole weeks that's possible as well.
I have another question...
We're happy to answer! Please fill in the form below and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
